Too Much Love (sebuah cerita)

Too Much Love Will Kill You...
aku suka banget lagu Queen yang satu ini,
bukan hanya karena lirinya -yang memang cocok banget denganku-
tapi memang lagu ini selalu muncul pada moment yang pas.

Pertama kali berjumpa lagu ini tahun 2004, agak sedikit telat mungkin, jika lagu ini sudah diliris Queen sejak awal tahun 1990-an (kalo salah mohon dikoreksi) (^,^)
aku mendengarnya dikamar temanku, kalo tidak salah saat itu ada kami bertiga yang sedang menyelesaikan Tulisan Ilmiah untuk diikutkan dalam sebuah lomba tingkat nasional, karena sudah dikejar deadline, mau tidak mau kita harus begadang berhari-hari agar tulisan bisa selesai tepat waktu.

selama berhari-hari dalam masa kerja keras itu salah seorang temanku diantara kami bertiga sedang dilanda patah hati yang luar biasa. semangatnya jadi hilang dan susah berkonsentrasi. Mau tidak mau sebagai sebuah tim saya dan teman yang satunya lagi mencari cara agar teman kami yang patah hati ini kembali ceria dan bersemangat. aku selalu membawakan Ice Cream coklat kesukaannya setiap kita berkumpul, bercerita lucu agar dapat mengiburnya. Tapi dasar tipe orang melankolis, semakin dihibur malah semakin minta dimanja-manja...

untuk menghiburnya aku dan temanku memutarkan lagu-lagu ceria untuknya, termasuk I Will Survive-nya Cake, tapi dia sama sekali tak bergeming, dia malah memutar lagunya Queen yang mendayu-sayu. wal hasil selama berhari-hari Queen selalu menjadi penghuni wajib winamp, dan hanya satu lagu yang ada di playlist, Queen: Too Much Love Will kill you.

Yah... apapunlah itu sebuah lagu memang bisa menjadi representasi hati. dan mungkin hatiku saat ini sedang ingin mendengarkan lagu ini. Too Much Love Will Kill You...
